- Hello,
-
- I've got a USR Sporster Vi internal modem and wondered if anybody has an
- answer to a problem I'm seeing. When the FIFO buffer for the UART is
- enabled in Windows 95 the modem won't do binary transfers, ie. it won't
- load inline images in Netscape or download any ZIP files. When I disable
- the FIFO buffer then everything works but I get serial overruns if I set
- the serial port rate above 57600 to 115Kbps.
-
- Also, does anybody know if this modem can be set up to distinguish between
- voice and data calls? When I start Quicklink and leave it in host mode
- with the Call Manager running, the modem won't answer when you call. It
- will answer if Quicklink is running by itself or Call Manager is running
- by itself.
-
- Any answers would be appreciated, please email your responses.
-
- Thanks
-
- Rick
